Ryan hosts Home Planet with Ryan Cox, a podcast that explores the creative process through conversations with comedians, musicians and artists from all walks of life.

Ritu is a Nashville based comedian. Her accomplishments include one failed marriage with a goal of failing at a few more. She was a Resident Host at Zanies, She has traveled all over the US and recently performed at the legendary Apollo club in NY. You can watch her on HBO max this fall.

Aaron Naylor is a Chicago-based comedian from Kansas City. In 2013, he performed at his first open mic at Laff's Comedy Caffe after moving to Tucson, AZ for some reason.
Shortly after, he moved back to Kansas City and won the 2014 Local Comic Standing competition. He quickly became a Midwest favorite, placing 2nd in the 2016 Cleveland Comedy Festival, winning the 2017 Funniest Person in Wichita, and was featured on season 8 of Comcast’s Trial by Laughter.
Aaron has performed at some of the best comedy festivals in the country, including San Francisco Sketchfest, Limestone, Asheville, and 10,000 Laughs. He has also shared the stage with comedians like Todd Barry, Sam Tallent, and Ron Funches. His comedy has been featured on Comcast, Comedy Juice, and the whole entire internet.
In 2021, Aaron was named the Funniest Person in Kansas City by KC Magazine, while also co-founding the Fountain City Comedy Festival. In 2023, he released a book called "Things I Wrote" to acclaim, he thinks, and shot his first comedy special "Born Illiterate" with Four by Three Productions. He tours across the country regularly, so if you’ve got some hugs, please give him some.

The Hot Springs Library is one of two libraries on the Appalachian Trail. It serves thousands of residents, tourists and trail hikers each year, providing much needed internet access and public computers to these visitors.
Faced with the extensive damage to the branch, the library was fortunate to have flood insurance, which will assist with the majority of the building damage and remediation. Coverage for the contents, which was inherited from the Friends’ original policy, will primarily cover the furnishings, but additional funds will be needed to cover the cost of the entire collection of damaged books.

Will Abeles is a stand-up comedian, producer and podcaster based out of Nashville, TN. Originally from Hagerstown, MD, he began his career in Boston while attending Emerson College. He moved to Nashville in January of 2021 after 8 years of honing his craft in NYC. In October of 2021, Will was voted the third best comic in Nashville by readers of the Nashville Scene.
In December of 2017, Will’s self-produced debut comedy album “Regrets of My Father” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts. Following the success of his album, Will was featured in festivals all across the East Coast including the Wiz City Comedy Festival in Philadelphia, WOOtenanny in Worcester, the Baltimore Comedy Festival, the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, the Charm City Comedy Festival and the North Carolina Comedy Festival. He's also the co-host of the My Funny Friends podcast alongside Drew Harrison.

In New York, Ryan was a regular performer at clubs around the city and can now be seen performing across the southeast and all over the country. In November 2023 he released his debut album, Adopted by the Internet. Ryan’s also been featured in numerous festivals including the New York, Cape Fear, Asheville and Oak City comedy festivals. Beyond stand up, he’s found success applying his skillset to the world of advertising, creating content for major brands like Denny’s, PUMA, Netflix, Morgan Stanley, Bojangles, Lenovo and more.

Helpmate began as a task force of the Buncombe County Commission on the Status of Women in 1978. Our mission and goals have been consistent ever since; to support survivors, educate our community about healthy relationships and to create systems that are responsive to survivors’ needs. Helpmate was incorporated in 1981 and staffed by volunteer advocates who established a safe house network. Among our first volunteer advocates was former Representative Wilma Sherrill, who was later instrumental in reforming NC’s domestic violence laws.
Our emergency shelter program started with a small apartment in 1981 and a second apartment a year later. In 1985, we bought a house and replaced with a larger home 5 years later. During this period, Helpmate was instrumental in the formation of additional organizations serving local victims, including the former Interlace transitional housing program and My Sister’s Place in Madison County. Helpmate became established as a statewide leader in the work to address violence against women, and was among the first members of the NC Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
In 2006, Helpmate launched a capital campaign to purchase our current emergency shelter, which houses 225 adult and child victims who are in imminent danger each year. In the years since, we have seen remarkable growth. We helped lead a systemic overhaul in 2013, which helped survivors access Helpmate’s services in record numbers. Helpmate now serves 80% more victims, answers triple the number of hotline calls and forms 5 times as many safety plans as we did in 2012. The most visible evidence of this collaboration is the Buncombe County Family Justice Center, which co-locates advocates, law enforcement, prosecution, child protection, legal aid, childcare and medical services into one safe location. We also now offer several collaborative evidence-based programs, such as the Lethality Assessment Protocol, in which law enforcement connects victims to our hotline immediately from crime scenes. We also offer Safe and Together, a program with Child Protective Services to respond to co-occurring domestic violence and child maltreatment.
We believe in the power of prevention to save lives. Helpmate has worked with Our VOICE, Mountain Child Advocacy Center, Pisgah Legal Services, and a community-based task force to implement the Pathways to Prevention Plan. The Plan is the first of its type in NC, using CDC-endorsed strategies to prevent domestic violence, sexual assault and child maltreatment. We aim to teach residents of Buncombe County how to form healthy relationships, resolve conflicts without violence, and respect boundaries so that we end the cycle of domestic violence.

He’s performed on CONAN (twice!), Last Comic Standing (once!), and his first Comedy Central special “30” in 2022 (You can watch it on YouTube!)
He’s also entertained our troops in South Korea and Japan. What a guy! It’s no wonder he won the title of "Wittiest" in Franklin County High School’s 2009 Yearbook. He even wrote this bio himself. And he’ll have a margarita with you if you play your cards right.

" Founded in 2007, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue enhances the lives of companion animals and the people who love them. We work across county lines with the goal of saving the greatest number of lives possible through strategic, creative, and impactful programming.
Through adoption and pet retention programs, a low-cost mobile spay and neuter clinic, lifesaving shelter transfer partnerships and extensive volunteer and foster networks, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue impacts the lives of thousands of animals each year in the Western North Carolina region.
After the catastrophic loss of our shelter and all physical assets, we are working around the clock to rebuild.
We are a community-based organization and rely on the generosity of our donors to continue our impactful work for animals as we receive no government funding. We know that together we can create a kinder world. "
